A US official confirmed the missile  attack on Ein al-Assad base, where US troops are stationed in western Iraq.

 Al-Sumeriya News reported that the US base in Ain al-Assad in al-Anbar province was hit by nine rockets today – Wednesday morning.

The Iraqi media reported that the missile attack caused extensive material damage, but no casualties were reported.

Missile TV correspondent also reported that the missiles were fired from the Al-Jazeera area in al-Dafa on the base of Ain al-Assad.

Ein al-Assad Air Force Base is the largest US military base in western Iraq.

Similarly, Fox News television also confirmed the news of the missile attack, quoting a US official that “there is no information yet on the extent of the casualties resulting from the missile attack.”

“US forces target Iranian ballistic missiles and long-range missiles at Ein al-Assad base, the US official said.
