The 71-year-old artist appeared with his wife Sharon on the Good Morning America show to discuss the complications of his state of health. “It has been terribly challenging for all of us.”
Osbourne told that his problems became evident after a fall he suffered in 2019 and forced him to have neck surgery. During his recovery, the musician began to experience severe nerve pain. Finally, doctors discovered that the star suffered from a variant of this incurable disease.
“It is Parkin 2, which is a form of Parkinson’s. There are many different types of Parkinson’s, ”Sharon said in the interview. “It is not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect the nerves of your body. It is as if you had a good day, then a good day and then a bad day.”
“I have numbness in this arm from surgery and my legs are getting cold. I don’t know if it’s Parkinson’s or what. That’s the problem. Because they cut nerves during surgery. I had never heard of nerve pain and it is a strange sensation, ”the former Black Sabbath vocalist revealed during the interview.
As part of their attempts to discover this medical mystery, the couple revealed that they will travel to Switzerland next April to see a specialist in diseases related to the immune system.
