Neelum Valley is one of the most beautiful valleys of Pakistani Kashmir, where there are big rivers, lakes, forests and lush mountains of clear, transparent and cold water. There are amazingly attractive waterfalls and high-lying mountains, whose flowing streams flow from the top of the road and, with large rocks, finally join the muddy waters of the Nile River.
The valley, starting from Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir, is about 150 miles long. It is situated on both sides of the river Neelum. The geographical features enhance the natural beauty of the Valley. Its elevation, a mere 2,000 feet at the start, gradually rises till it attains a respectable height of 8,000 feet. On both sides there are high mountains and peaks.
How to Access This Destination:
As a tourist you can reach this destination from two sides. One from the Kaghan Valley which is linked with it at two points, the Nuri Nari Hali (Pass) and the Ratti Gali and many minor Passes. From Dawarian it takes two days for hiking or riding and night stay at Dharian at 12,000 feet. The second approach is from Muzaffarabad. It is a distance of 55 miles which is jeepable in fair weather. The Neelum meets the Jhelum river at Domali (meeting of the two) on the outskirts of Muzaffarabad city.

Leaving them on, proceed to the open field of the River Shivak on the same Khati road where it flows down the river into its wide gravel-filled plain in the form of drains. From here one can see the peak of the famous Broome Peak in the rear.
Raani Kot رنی کوٹ
Spread over an area of 26 km, it is the largest fort in the world, but officials have nevertheless failed to promote tourism here. The fort is very easy to access from Karachi and can be reached here via the national highway. After leaving Karachi, travel to Indus Highway towards Dadu.
The road is in excellent condition and is an hour’s journey to the hometown of Sindhi nationalist GM Syed. A little further afield comes from this town, on a rusty board announcing that Rani Kot is about thirty kilometers from here. Even though the road is bad, the distance is still 30 to 40 minutes.
Bahawalpur (City of Palaces)
The former state of Punjab owns the treasures of Bahawalpur historical buildings, monuments and gardens that you may never have heard of. It is located on the railway line of the Peshawar Karachi on the left bank of the river Sutlej, along with the desert area, lush gardens also satisfy your view while the magnificence of the palace.
Gorikh Hill (گورکھ ہل)
Blizzard and Sindh? It may sound like a myth, but it is a place in Sindh province where the snow actually falls in winter. In 2008, all the hills here were covered with snow.
Gorkha Hill is a charming spot 5688 feet above sea level and is part of the Kirthar mountain range which connects the Sindh border with Baluchistan to the west.
