Every industry has it own culture. Disputes and feuds exists every where, so the same is the case of entertainment world. Here feudes also exists , some come on the surface some noe not. Celebrities lives are more exposed to the public so it difficult for them to hide their personal issues. Hollywood is not merely an entertainment industry but a small world of stars.

Every workplace has its own feuds and Hollywood sets are not an exception to this rule! It must be difficult to act and pretend to be all lovie dovie and besties on set when in real life not only you may not get along with your colleagues, but you literally can’t stand them.

This list reveals some of the feuds that took place behind the scenes of our favourite TV shows and movies and we still find it hard to believe that the two women behind the characters of Carrie Bradshaw and Samantha Jones, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall respectively, were not actually best friends in real life. 

Some of the protagonists managed to maintain their professionalism and therefore successfully completed the project, whereas others got fired or even backed down themselves from the project, as they could not handle the conditions on set.

Let’s see some of the feuds that exploded on movie sets that either resulted in the immediate change of cast, or fellow stars were finally forced to stick around and watch their cast members catfight all the time.

Will Smith VS Janet Hubert

Who would have thought that the relationship between Will and Aunt Viv in the successful 90s sitcom was not what we were witnessing on our TV screen? 

Actress Janet Hubert was the original Vivian Banks, who was the beloved aunt of Will Smith in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, who was always supporting and protecting her reckless nephew. 

Her sudden replacement, however, by the actress Daphne Maxwell Reid after three seasons left the audience wondering what happened behind the scenes.

It was later revealed in a radio interview in 1993 by Smith himself that Hubert was difficult to work with before revealing the feud between the two. Hubert claims until today that Will Smith is responsible for getting her fired from the show, while she goes on to blame Smith for ruining her career, as the aftermath of Smith’s comments about her made production members very wary before hiring her. 

However, Hubert’s bad behaviour on set was also confirmed by Alfonso Ribeiro, the actor who portrayed Aunt Vivian’s son, Carlton Banks. 

In 2009, Ribeiro revealed in a stand-up comedy that everyone he had worked with on the show was great, except his “first mom”, as according to him “she went nuts”.  

Isaiah Washington VS T.R. Knight

The year of 2007, it was the year that the series Grey’s Anatomy was at the peak of its success.

However, a feud took place on a set that changed everything in the course of the TV drama, as T.R. Knight, the actor who portrayed George O’Malley overheard an argument between his co-stars, Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey, with the first one using profanities to describe Knight.

Knight got greatly offended, as Washington had used an extremely insulting word directed towards the gay community. 

Knight admitted during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres that listening to his co-star using this word to describe him, only urged him to open up about his sexuality.

Despite the fact that Knight had never sought publicity about such issues and he had only discussed it with people close to him, he felt it was right to terminate his contract with the show, as he felt uncomfortable. 

The incident had consequences for Washington too, who was later fired from Grey’s Anatomy, but when he was asked about the insulting incident, towards Knight, he insisted that it “never happened”.

David Yost VS The Cast Of Power Rangers

David Yost may be a name that does not ring a bell, but Billy, the Blue Power Ranger is a figure that springs to mind directly, from our childhood. 

Yost is the actor who portrayed the Blue Ranger, a superhero from the successful TV series Power Rangers, which we all loved as children, as it was beaming into our screens from 1993 to 1996.

Unfortunately, disturbing details about behind – the – scenes incidents emerged through an interview with the actor.

According to Yost, members of the cast and crew made him leave the Power Rangers, as they verbally and physically bullied him for his sexual preferences. 

Yost, an open homosexual that he was and still is, revealed that the work environment during his employment in the 90s series was intolerant to say the very least and homophobic, which left him battling with a nervous breakdown. 

The actor’s sudden absence from the show made sense years later when Yost shared some very harsh behind-the-scenes videos, which sadly depict how uncomfortable and frustrated he was when other members of the cast approached him.

Meryl Streep VS Dustin Hoffman

The drama between the Kramers, the on-screen divorced couple which had a legal battle for the guardianship of their son in the Oscar-winning, 1979 film, Kramer vs. Kramer seems to involve a bit more than excellent acting skills from the two stars, Meryl Streep and Dustin Hoffman. 

Through one of Streep’s interviews in a popular magazine in 1979, the working relationship between the two actors was revealed to be more than tumultuous! 

According to Streep, when Hoffman introduced himself to her on set he instantly groped her breast, adding to the accusations of sexual misconduct against the actor. This incident was the start of their behind-the-scenes feud, while Streep also continues to claim that Hoffman slapped her across her face, very hard, during one of the film’s scenes, yet without any warning.

To make matters worse, more accusations against Hoffman started piling up when Streep came forth about all the bullying, and all the personal issues, the Oscar winner had to endure by her co-star. 

Hoffman admitted that, at the time of filming, he was amidst his divorce procedures with his then-wife Anne Byrne, and according to him, that is why “he was acting out on her [Streep] throughout the movie”.  

The actor has since apologised for the allegations against him, but we are now certain that the hate between the two stars was true as real as it can ever get!

Shannen Doherty VS Jennie Garth

The 2019 reboot of one of the most popular 90s TV dramas was marked by two events. The first one and the most tragic one was the sudden death of Luke Perry, one of the beloved protagonists of the show, while the second drama was imminent due to the public wondering on whether Shannen Doherty, who portrayed Brenda Walsh would reappear along with the original cast.

To those who may not remember this, Doherty was fired from the show, during its third season, back in the day. 

But why was Doherty fired in the first place? 

Apparently, according to Tori Spelling, who is a member of the original cast and the daughter of the legendary producer of the show Aaron Spelling, admitted that Doherty was fired after a feud between Doherty and Jennie Garth who portrayed Kelly Taylor. 

However, it seems that there had been more than one incidents of fighting between the two stars over the years, and Tori even claims that the arguments were not only verbal but, at some point, they became physical too.

The final blow for Doherty was when she angered the whole crew, as she went on to cut her hair without informing anyone, beforehand, during the season’s finale!

Charlie Sheen VS Chuck Lorre

When Charlie Sheen was fired from the sitcom Two and a Half Men in 2011, a battle had started between him and the sitcom’s producer, Chuck Lorre. 

Sheen was fired due to his “erratic behaviour”, and he was replaced by Ashton Kutcher, to whom Sheen did not appear to have any hard feelings towards, instead Sheen decided to direct all of his anger towards Chuck Lorre.

The troubled star gave a number of interviews where he verbally attacked Lorre, by calling him “talentless”, “miserable”, followed by many more obscenities, clarifying that he never forgave him nor the network for firing him from the sitcom. 

Interestingly, the production team even offered a private jet which would fly the actor directly to a rehab centre, but Sheen dismissed the offer by saying “I have other plans”, pointing to a woman across the room.  

Sheen’s cocky behaviour was also evident in 2015, following the sitcom’s finale and his former character’s death by a falling piano. 

This was definitely a revenge move from Lorre, which enraged Sheen and resulted in releasing threats against the producer.

Megan Fox VS Michael Bay

This feud was hardly a secret, as everything started in 2009 when Megan Fox was continuously bad-mouthing the director of Transformers, Michael Bay, in a number of interviews she gave to magazines. 

Interestingly, despite working with him, she had a number of accusations against him, with the most memorable one being when the beauty compared him to Hitler.

Yes, you read that right! 

Fox claimed that Bay wanted to create a “mad-man” image of himself on set, and he was an utter “nightmare” to work with. After this public shaming, three of Bay’s crew decided to anonymously write and publish an open letter, where they had described Fox as a “dumb-as-a-rock” individual, followed by some many other non-polite names. 

Bay announced that he did not agree with the letter, but his intentions were crystal clear when Fox did not appear in the third Transformers movie. 

It was later revealed that this was Bay’s decision, meaning he had fired Fox, and he had her replaced with the model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. 

We, however, have decoded how the eminent hate of Fox towards Bay may have derived from. 

In the beginning, Bay commanded Fox to wash his Ferrari in a bikini while filming her, as to get some shots for the first Transformers movie (!); we understand now where all of her hard feelings may be coming from. 

Nicollette Sheridan VS Marc Cherry

Events had turned really desperate for Marc Cherry, the creator and producer of the TV comedy Desperate Housewives (2004-2012), when one of his protagonists, Nicollette Sheridan, aka Edie Britt, dragged him into court in 2012. 

According to Sheridan, Cherry had become physically aggressive during one of their altercations back in 2008. In the attempt of retaliating against Sheridan’s accusations, Cherry masterfully killed the actress’ character off, in a fatal yet unexpected car crash.

Cherry defended himself by claiming that Sheridan was dismissed from the series due to her “unprofessional behaviour”, but this was not the main motive behind his firing decision.

His main interest was of a financial nature, as Sheridan’s dismissal would have saved millions of dollars for the production. In regards to the physical encounter between them, Cherry admitted that he “tapped her head”, which opposes Sheridan’s claims that she was “hit upside the head”. 

The lawsuit was finally rejected by the court, as Sheridan failed to provide substantial evidence for an unsafe work environment, which had been her main accusation.

Thomas Gibson VS Virgil Williams

The US crime drama Criminal Minds was hit by a bomb of an on-set fight, which resulted in the termination of the contract of one of the lead actors. 

Thomas Gibson, who portrayed the FBI Special Agent Aaron Hotchner, was fired after allegedly kicking one of the production’s writers, Virgil Williams. This meant that  Gibson was absent from the last two episodes of the twelfth season, in 2016. 

In a sudden turn of events, however, Gibson’s suspension from the series was confirmed to be permanent by the ABC Studios representatives. The actor proceeded to make a statement, in which he admitted that there had been disagreements and “creative differences” on set and that he regrets for what happened. 

He went forth to applaud the production team for wanting to “make the best show possible”.

 Sarah Jessica Parker VS Kim Cattrall

The 2000s super-popular series Sex and the City, divided the audiences into adoring fans and haters who slurred the show and its fictional characters. The relationship of the cast members was unknown, particularly the relationship between Sarah Jessica Parker, who portrayed Carrie Bradshaw, and Kim Cattrall, who portrayed Samantha Jones. 

There had been rumours that the two women had a feud and they always disagreed on almost everything. A storm of rumours claimed that SJP disliked Kim Cattrall, so much to the extent of even refusing to sit with her during lunchtime. 

Revelations came into light when Cattrall did not accept to participate in Sex and the City’s third movie on the big screen, and it was rumoured that she had “outrageous demands”.

Cattrall visibly got annoyed with the production and with Parker as well, as she went on to defend herself stating that she just didn’t feel like doing the film. 

In an interview given in 2016, Cattrall went on to claim that she was never friends with Parker, but the final blow in this feud was an Instagram post by Parker who wished condolences to Cattrall after her brother’s death. Cattrall was ready to slam by addressing SJP as a “cruel”, “hypocrite” individual who only took advantage of her brother’s death to restore her “nice girl persona”. Ouch!

The Rock VS Vin Diesel

Back in 2016 when the Fast and the Furious 8 was filming, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson sparked rumours of an on-set feud when he shared an Instagram post, which read “zero tolerance for candy asses”. 

It was quite a shock for the actors’ fans and everyone started contemplating who could this “candy ass” person be?! 

It was later revealed by anonymous crew members, but also through consecutive Instagram posts that the person the Rock was referring to was none other than his co-star, Vin Diesel. 

According to The Rock, there had been some “philosophical differences” in the “family”, which affected his role in the franchise. The Fast and the Furious star proceded to post a list of names with people he was thankful for, but guess what…Diesel’s name was left out! 

In 2017, Diesel gave an interview addressing his on-set feud with The Rock, without clarifying what actually transpired between those two, while his comments about this incident were very vague.

The actor, however, did not fail to show his appreciation towards his fellow star, The Rock.

Bill Murray VS Lucy Liu

The bombshell of Bill Murray’s absence from the 2003 action comedy Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle had left his fans wondering what could have gone south.

Murray’s role in the 2000 Charlie’s Angels was a great success, and he seemed to have an excellent chemistry on-set  with his co-stars Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu.

However, things were not as they seemed as it was later revealed that Bill Murray and Lucy Liu seemed to hate each.

During the filming of a scene in 2000, Murray allegedly challenged Liu’s acting skills, and asked her why she was on the set as he clearly told her “you can’t act”. 

Liu took offence on the personal attack against her, and in her attempt of addressing the insult, Murray just refused to take responsibility for what he had said, claiming that he was only referring to Liu’s script lines. 

Allegedly, the incident escalated and became physical as the two actors started throwing objects at each other across the set.

Nowadays, Liu and Murray have nothing bad to say about each other, but we certainly don’t expect them to make a come-back as a duo on the big screen!

Sylvester Stallone VS Bruce Willis

An altercation between Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone was to blame for the dismissal of Willis from the Expendables 3 film, the multimillion action-thriller franchise.

According to several sources, the differences between the two co-stars were of financial nature.

It is said that Sylvester Stallone, who was also a member of the film’s production team apart, offered $3 million to Bruce Willis for four days of work in Bulgaria but surprisingly, the Die Hard star not only declined the offer, but he went forth to ask for more.

After Willis had greedily demanded to get paid $4 million, Stallone also declined to offer an extra million to Willis and the rest is history. 

We all found out about this feud through Stallone’s tweet which read “WILLIS OUT…HARRISON FORD IN!!!!” Stallone continued tweeting, revealing his anger towards Bruce Willis: “GREEDY AND LAZY…A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE.”

Wesley Snipes VS The Cast Of Blade: Trinity

Rumours about some “diva” behaviour from Wesley Snipes’ end surfaced, who portrays the legendary vampire slayer in Blade: Trinity may be one of the reasons that the trilogy’s epilogue flopped.

Blade I and II may have enjoyed great success, but according to members of the cast and crew of the film, the star of the film Snipes has demonstrated an overall bad behaviour with some examples who stood out as extremely rude. 

People claimed that the actor remained in his trailer the entire time refusing to interact with anyone while completely ignoring his co-stars. 

To make matters worse, Snipes had regular clashes with the director, David Goyer, and he only communicated with the rest of the crew through post-it notes, on which he signed off as “Blade”. 

Wesley Snipes never really addressed the allegations, but he also didn’t refuse the post-it-notes communication.

Snipes excused himself by claiming that everyone in the crew “was banished to another side of the island of production” and had no other way of reaching them (really?!?).

Richard Gere VS Sylvester Stallone

Another Hollywood feud has Sylvester Stallone on one end of the story while Richard Gere appears to be on the other end. 

The conflict between the two movie stars goes decades back, precisely in 1974, behind the scenes of The Lords of Flatbush, the film in which they were supposed to star together.

In one of his interviews, Stallone revealed that he got angry with Gere, during a fighting scene, as Gere was carried away with his role and he became “impossible to deal with”. 

The final blow, however, which caused a big-time feud, took place during lunch break when the Rambo star decided to enjoy his lunch on the backseat of a car. 

Gere also climbed on the backseat and despite Stallone’s warnings to be careful with the sauce in his lunch, a clumsy Gere spilt some mustard on the seat! 

That was more than what Stallone was willing to put up with and he quickly pushed Gere out of the car.

The ridge between them became so big that the duo could no longer work together and the production decided to let Gere go.

We guess that after this incident Richard Gere was more careful when munching mustard-filled lunches next to an angry co-star!
