Security agencies established to discourage such acts are still unable to find a single clue to trace the group and take them to court.

Accrding to the sources of Express Daily , a gang of black mailers is active in Lahore, hacking the phones of celebrities before leaking their private photos and videos. They also operate by allegedly selling the videos to international pornography sites. A large number of the young women have been victimized of this group. However FIA Cyber Crime Wing failed to trace and catch any such culprit even after a number of applications registered to them.

The group allegedly target young women who work in the entertainment industry.

Shehar Bano TV news anchor is the latest victim of mobile hacking. In recent pas a number of celebrities have been victims of cyber security breach.

The leak and theft of private data is a punishable offence under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) of 2016, with a prison sentence of up to seven years and a fine of up to Rs. 10 million in Pakistan.
